Who we are
At Praxa Sense, we are redefining non-invasive health monitoring with our optical sensing technology ALIS — a speckle-based biosensing platform that opens new possibilities for remote vital-sign monitoring and next-generation health devices.
To accelerate this mission, we are looking for a Lead Clinical Research who can organize and guide the clinical and experimental validation of our technology.
In this role, you will be responsible for translating our technological innovations into well-structured clinical and experimental studies. You ensure that trials with hospitals and research partners are properly designed, organized, and executed, enabling the team by generating high-quality data and meaningful validation results.
You will work closely with hospitals, research institutes, and technical partners to set up and coordinate studies. This includes writing study protocols, organizing approvals, managing trial execution, and ensuring that all partners involved are aligned and that projects progress smoothly.
Because our technology sits at the intersection of hardware, signal processing, and clinical validation, you will also work closely with the R&D team. For smooth development iterations, you will organize and perform in-house testing with our sensor systems and help interpret experimental data and think along with technical discussions.
You will play a key role in shaping the company’s clinical strategy and identify the right validation pathways for the innovative technology. You will also play a key role in the preparation and coordination of research and innovation subsidy applications that enable further development and validation of our technology.
What you will do
- Organize and coordinate clinical trials with hospitals and research partners.
- Develop study designs and write clinical or experimental protocols.
- Manage ongoing trials and ensure smooth collaboration between partners.
- Organize and perform in-house experiments and validation studies with our sensor technology.
- Own the development of the company’s clinical validation strategy.
- Support and write research and innovation subsidy applications.
- Work closely with the R&D team to align clinical testing with technical development.
- Help structure projects and ensure experiments and trials are executed effectively.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of clinical research, technology development, and experimental validation. You are structured, proactive, and comfortable coordinating projects involving multiple partners.
Required:
- A background in clinical technology, or a related field.
- Experience with clinical studies, experimental research, or medical technology validation.
- Experience writing study protocols and research documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and affinity with project management.
- Ability to coordinate work with hospitals, researchers, and technical teams.
- Fluent in Dutch, as many partners and clinical collaborators communicate in Dutch.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate between clinical and technical perspectives.
Nice to have:
- Experience with medical device validation or digital health technologies.
- Experience working with hospitals or clinical research groups.
- Experience with subsidy or research grant applications.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary research projects.
What we offer
- Salary matching your experience with potential equity participation.
- 25 holiday days per year, additional special leave days for big life events such as weddings, moving houses and funerals.
- Work-from-home and travel cost- reimbursement.
- A percentage of your salary as a contribution to life annuity.
- Free office lunch on Fridays.
- Hybrid work culture: in-person collaboration in Delft at least 3 days/week, work from home when you need to focus (or do some laundry).
- Direct collaboration with experts in optics, signal processing, and data science.
- The satisfaction of contributing to technology that directly improves health monitoring.
