Afi® can only be turned on or off by the healthcare professional using the provided software. This prevents Afi® from accidentally turning off while you're wearing it.

To see if Afi® is measuring press and release its button. Afi® blinks a few times to indicate if it's measuring and then shows its battery status.

If Afi® blinks green this means it is measuring. If Afi® blinks red after pressing the button it is not measuring. This could mean the battery is almost empty and you should recharge it.

If Afi® doesn't start measuring after charging it please notify your treating physician.

You should charge the battery about every 72 hours. If Afi®'s battery is almost empty it will start to vibrate and blink red. This means you should charge Afi® as soon as possible.

To check the battery status plug Afi® into a power supply or press the button. One red LED indicates Afi® is almost empty. If all LEDs are lit up green, it means Afi® is fully charged.

If Afi®'s battery is almost completely empty it stops blinking and goes in to sleep mode. When this happens you should charge Afi® as quickly as you can.

You can still check Afi®'s battery status by pressing the button. It should blink red to indicate it has stopped measuring and then show one red LED.

First, you remove Afi® from the electrode sticker. Afterwards, you can carefully remove the electrode sticker from your skin. The sticker can be disposed of with regular household waste.

The electrode sticker should be replaced every 72 hours. You can dispose the sticker with regular household waste.
